Description

  • Develop autonomy software for aerial and multi-domain robotic systems from concept through product deployment.
  • Build the Lattice for Mission Autonomy software platform that enables coordinated operations across multiple robotic systems.
  • Collaborate with specialist teams such as Perception, Motion Planning, Hardware, and Test Engineering to solve complex technical problems.
  • Design and implement software capabilities spanning computer vision, motion planning, SLAM, controls, estimation, and secure communications.
  • Develop and test software that supports real-world build, test, and deployment activities.
  • Work with large-scale data processing and analysis in production software solutions.
  • Navigate and contribute to complex, established codebases.
  • Support mission-critical software with real-world impact.

Requirements

  • Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance.
  • BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of production-grade C++ and/or Rust experience in a Linux development environment.
  • Experience building software solutions involving significant amounts of data processing and analysis.
  • Ability to quickly understand and navigate complex systems and established code bases.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time to build, test, and deploy capabilities in the real world.
  • Strong background in Physics, Mathematics, and/or Motion Planning for modeling and simulation (preferred).
  • Experience developing and testing multi-agent autonomous systems in real-world environments (preferred).
  • Feature and algorithm development experience with an understanding of behavior trees (preferred).
  • Experience developing software/hardware for flight systems and safety-critical functionality (preferred).
  • Knowledge of distributed communication networks and message standards (preferred).
  • Knowledge of military systems and operational tactics (preferred).
